I hate returning to school for make up classes, really. Especially those short, two hours classes which ends up finishing half an hour earlier than it's supposed to.
Some people may think it's good in a sense, that we end class fast and go home earlier, but honestly, it takes at least 35 minutes for me to travel from home to school and my dad have to travel at least an hour to take me to school and back home, and I only spend 1.5hrs in class. And for me, it's not that bad already. I've got friends who take an hour just to travel from home to school. It's really not worth the travelling time for such short classes. I think it's much more worth it to return to school if the classes are longer and more productive. Sigh!
But anyway, I took the opportunity of being back with friends to go out for short outings with them.
Went to KAP's Mc Donald's with Jean and Ding Ying after Math make-up class yesterday for breakfast. (Pictures KIV!) Had fun laughing at Ding Ying's silliness and immaturity hehe. Took the same bus with Jean again afterwards, and chit-chatted about all the nonsensical things. Our conversations never make sense.
It was Daddy's birthday yesterday and so after Jean and I parted, I went to Lot1 to get Dad's birthday present. Searched BHG and almost all the shops but couldn't find a suitable one in Lot1. The belts there were either too expensive for me to afford, or were not Dad's style. Decided to make it a wasted trip so I went to Popular to get a few files and hopefully I will find time to punch holes in my notes and file them all up these few days. But of course I didn't give up searching for the right belt so I went to Yew Tee point which was apparently worse.. I thought I could get a belt from CK Department Store but they don't sell belts. I almost gave up till I saw the Master Polo sales in the basement in the mall and finally found the perfect one for Dad. *Phew*
Got a really small fruit cake for Dad afterwards :) It looked really small for a 500g cake and cost me like $4 more than if I bought it from somewhere else. But oh well! It's for papa. (Pictures KIV again!)
While waiting at the train station for Dad to pick me up, an old man approached me and tried selling pens and pencils to me at $2.00 but I didn't have a $2 note and to my horror, he asked for the $10 note he saw in my wallet. Of course I wasn't crazy enough to give him that so I dug out $2 worth of coins for him, but seeing I still had some loose change, he asked for all the coins I had, and guess what he sold to me? He gave me this normal pencil I can get at like, 20cents. I don't usually mind doing charity but I was really unhappy with that man yesterday. From his looks, he seems about 60 years old and he could read and converse very well in English, for the fact that he read my school off the uniform, and he told me that a group of other NJCians gave him $4.00. And he was fully abled and was even carrying this really huge backpack. He looked totally fine and able and I couldn't help but think he should just get himself a proper job and not beg. When I told my parents about it, they said it was lucky I didn't give him the 10 bucks because it was super likely that he would just take and not return any change and give me the same pencil. Haha.
Forget about the unpleasant things.
So I gave Dad the present I bought for him, and he was pretty pleased, because the belt he had wasn't working well already. We cut the cake after dinner and I'm glad it was of the perfect size for our family despite the small size. :) (I'm awesome :p)
After Chem class today, I went off with Ding Ying and we chatted our way to the train station. Then I headed to Marina Bay for First Chro Outing! ;) It was actually kind of sad la, that there were only 5 of us. But we still had fun! :) I arrived there 1 hour earlier than the arranged meeting time, so I decided to get some food nearby before I met up with the rest but I almost got lost. There was freaking nothing there, and there was a severe lack of road signs so I ended up making rounds around the area. It was a miracle I didn't really get lost already haha. So in the end, I took the train to Somerset and got tidbits from Cold Storage in 313, then met up with Evelyn to go back to Marina Bay together. The rest were all late! Luckily we didn't miss the bus to the barrage though.

I'm the "h"! My idea :D (1 Chro)
On our way back from the barrage.
Although there weren't sufficient number of people who came for the outing to be called a proper bonding session, we still had pretty much fun playing games like Monopoly Deal, and the thumbs games etc. Hehe yea, we're childish and we know it! :D
It was really double trouble for me today because I almost couldn't make it back to Yew Tee in time, before 6pm cause we missed the first bus back. Thankfully there was an available cab but I was still kind of late..
This morning is the happiest morning for the week because I received an e-mail from baby :) really miss him although it's just been 2 days. I've got so many things to tell him, sigh. I'm glad to know from his e-mail that he reached safely and is doing fine. Made a call to tell his mama that on his behalf and she was pleased, too :)
Haha he kept reminding me to study in the e-mail so I shall not disappoint him and his love :P
Really look forward to receiving his next e-mail or IM soon!
Counting down to the day he's returning: 1 week!
